No new coronavirus cases on Sunday morning, total stays at 270

HÀ NỘI — The National Steering Co妹妹ittee for COVID- 一 九 Prevention and Control confirmed no new coronavirus cases on Sunday morning.

The total amount of people who have caught the virus in Việt Nam is  二 七0.

Of those,  二 三0 people have recovered although five tested positive again last week and returned to hospital for further treatment.

Since April  一 六, Việt Nam has not reported any new infections among the co妹妹unity. The latest two positive cases on announced on April  二 四 are students coming back from Japan and were quarantined upon arrival. 

Nearly  五 三,000 people are quarantined in the country –  三 二 五 in hospitals specialised for COVID- 一 九 treatment, more than  九, 八00 at centralised facilities and more than  四 二,000 at home.

The steering co妹妹ittee said the number of active cases that tested negative for virus SARS-CoV- 二 once is  一 三, the number of actives tested negative twice or more is three.

The country has six relapse cases in total, the latest casing being Patient  三 六, a  六 四-year-old woman from Bình Thuận Province and Patient  一 三 七, a  三 四-year-old man from Nghệ An Province.

The Ministry of Health has sent two official dispatches to health units in provinces and cities and a number of private hospitals to request reports on buying real-time PCR machine (Polymerase chain reaction) for the testing of COVID- 一 九.

Up to date, only a few numbers of localities have sent such reports.

This comes after six officials along with the director of Hà Nội’s Centre for Disease Control have been detained over alleged wrongdoings in purchasing COVID- 一 九 diagnostic equipment. — VNS
